Sunshine Troopers

Recent events make me sick, almost nauseous, and disgusted at the extend of malice homo sapiens will commit in the name of power and money. WHY? How does it feel like, being all money-minded and materialistic? Does one feel saint-like or content and free of worries? I would really love to know.

Meanwhile, I have been questioned about my support for certain events that are about to unfold, one being the sunshine global gathering of our nation. Personally, it started off as a simple exercise to utilise our basic right to vote. Slowly, it turned into something ugly, in comparison to a worse than sty-like arena, especially with its recent 'amendments' - if that's what they call them. Google for detailed article, thanks. Seeing it is my first voting year (definitely won't be my last), I suddenly felt really reluctant to carry out what I have been anticipating for since I was 18 (not of age to vote). The word 'just' no longer exist as an adjective, only fully used as an adverb. Maybe this might sound all self-righteous to some when I ask "What happened to fair and square? Clean and transparent?".

Sure, many will retort with, "They do not exist in politics" - Fact, I know. But if people let some silly scumbags get on with their crook of a way, in terms of running a country, then No, that can not go on.

"Stop being so naïve, you are just being used/brainwashed into supporting the opposition's propaganda" - you know what? I don't give two shits about what the Other politicians have in mind. Let's not get all long-winded about that. My presence signifies what I believe in, and I ain't forcing that on other people neither did I discuss with nor try to persuade any of my peers to do the same. It is their choice. If you'd like to ask me why, we can always talk over a cup of tea (I'm cutting down coffee and alcohol by the way).

".. the current government is so much better than the opposition" - I am not making that up, it was what I was told during a conversation last week. Trying to explain my actions then, was like evangelising to a non-believer.

*heaves a loud sigh*

Not much to rant about, really. Only a matter of time before my frustration bursts into cotton candy and rainbow licorice. No country is perfect. But if collective events have contributed the country's height in PDI ranks, then something is seriously askew.

Vote and Have Your Say!

My current job has given me the advantage to be up-to-date with the insights in our country that do not get pass the censorship board and published/broadcast on mass media. Trust me, it is not pleasant to know too much; in fact, it actually stressed me up on many occasions last year especially when certain figures in this country made international headlines. No, I don't really care much about their image in the eyes of the world, but more of appalled at the stupidity and ignorance one chooses for monetary reasons. Yup, what happened to people before profit?

I can rant on and on about what I am not happy about in regards to how this country is becoming 'underdeveloped', not in terms of infrastructure - well, that does affect somehow. Yet, I will spare you (reading this) the long and whiny post and just share with you one very important thing.

I WILL CAST MY VOTE IN THE UPCOMING GENERAL ELECTIONS!!

Yes, and so should you. If you or your friends are not registered voters (remember, you have to be at least 21 years old in order to vote), then I strongly urge you to do so. I know I should have written about this earlier, but judging from my lack of blog updates, I really did not have the time to write. So, now, even though I am half asleep and struggling to stay awake, I am forcing myself to type out this post and make sense of what I am trying to say. Back to what I was saying...

31st March 2012 - the last day for you to register yourself as a voter for the upcoming General Elections during/after June 2012.

If you are wondering if your vote even count? YES, IT DOES! Imagine if half a kampung thinks like you, that's almost/over a thousand absent voters during the GE. On the month I turned 21, I registered myself at one of the voters' registration booths around the city. Since then, I have been updating my status on Facebook and Twitter, urging people who are of age to register too. That is almost three years of nagging - yup!

Why? Because this is important. There are clearly more than a handful of problems in this country, I do not need to list them down. Instead of going on with your daily ranting about how things can be better, do your part and VOTE! Simple. Does not even take much of your time, really!

So, what say you?
Let me quote from the music video embedded below:

"You say you love this country, but you haven't voted, not even once. So don't bother complaining when your rights get violated"

Kirsten Vangsness To the Rescue..Yet Again

It's surprising to find out that out of all my blogposts, the most popular one is the one I did on Kirsten Vangsness, one of the main actors on Criminal Minds. (Thank you everyone for reading and continuing to follow my blog!!). And surprisingly a lot of the searches done on that blogpost is "Kirsten Vangsness hot." (YES THICK GIRLS UNITE!).
To this day I still think she is super Rockin' and out of this world. And what is even great is that she is gay! YES PEOPLE SHE IS GAY AND PROUD OF IT! Reading an interview ET did with Vangsness, turns out she has come out of the closet, engaged, and not afraid to play the straight character on Criminal Minds. What a role model right?!
Vangsness playing out her role with her "boyfriend"

With a large fan base gained throughout the original show, she is making things happen with the spin off, Criminal Minds Suspect Behavior while also being in the original Criminal Minds. Gotta love her for being that dedicated, right?
Can't wait for the wedding photos after it happens because so far there aren't any from what I can look. Thanks Kirsten Vangsness for being the supreme actress and not caring to dress like you're "in space." SHINE ON!

Check out the interview:
